National Trail Raceway

The JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series Jr. Storm class features the youngest racers at National Trail Raceway.  The class is for racers ages 6 to 9 and it is the slowest class so that young kids can get accustomed to the basics of drag racing. This year saw a veteran of the class put her name on the championship trophy as Hayden Brown took home her first ever track championship.

The season started kind of slow for Hayden and her team as she was only able to win a couple of rounds at the first couple of JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series events.  In June though more round wins came her way with a runner-up finish.  But her championship run really hit into high gear in July, after she came back from the ECF where she got down to 8 cars, Hayden dominated with 2 wins in the same weekend and then carried over her hot streak to the next race and parked her car in the winner’s circle.  Hayden then finished out the season with 3 more trips to the final round, adding more points to her championship total as she clinched her first ever National Trail Raceway track championship.

“This championship means everything to me! My family and I set winning the championship as our goal this year.  To be able to finally win it, means the world to me.  It shows that all the hard work in the off season paid off,” Hayden said with a big smile on her face. “I want to say thank you my Dad (Nick), Mom (Danielle), Papaw (Steve) and my sisters Haleigh and Emma for all the love and support they give me! I also want to thank my sponsors Chet’s Auto Repair, Wolfe’s Powder Coating, Fortitude Health & Wellness, Peyton Racing and Palmore Racing because without them I wouldn’t have the chance to win this championship.”

Next year Hayden and the team are moving up to Jr. Thunder and try her best to turn on as many win lights as she can.

Congrats to Hayden Brown the 2023 JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series Jr. Storm Champion!
