This season we introduced a new championship for the JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series, Jr. Second Chance. The class is for all Jr. Dragster racers that lose 1st round of the eliminations and this past season we crowned the very first Jr. Second Chance Champion, Blaine Bazell.

No racer goes into a race season saying I want to be the Jr. Second Chance Champion, but when your season doesn’t go as planned, you try to win as many rounds as possible no matter what class you are racing.  That is exactly what Blaine Bazell did as he picked up two wins and a runner-up in the Jr. Second Chance class.

“When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. That’s what my team and I did this year, we struggled sometimes to get out of 1st round but once we got into the second chance class, we turned it on and did the best that we could.  Not the championship we were shooting for, but it is still an accomplishment to win any championship at Trails,” said Blaine Bazell. “I want to thank my Dad (Brian), Mom (Shawntel), and Sister (Sarah) for all their love and support this past season.  I also want to thank my sponsors Sunoco, Bazell Race Fuels, American Race Cars and Hubble Motorsports for their support.”

Blaine is going to try to turn on as many win lights as possible next year no matter what class he will be racing in.

Congrats to Blaine Bazell the 2023 JEGS.com Jr. Dragster Series Jr. Second Chance Champion!
