National Trail Raceway

In 2022 the Pro class in the JEGS ET Series was dominated by a racer that has a rich history at National Trail Raceway.  Jay Stowe was born into drag racing and has been racing since 1986 from the moment he could drive a car. Stowe is a former NHRA National Event winner picking up a win at the 1997 NHRA Nationals at Trails.

Stowe’s performance in 2022 was absolutely crushing to the competition.  Stowe started the year out with a semi-final finish at the 1st race of the season and then picked up a win on the May 29th JEGS ET Series event, that was his first win at National Trail Raceway in a few years.  After that Stowe just kept racking up round wins each week as he stayed on top of the points sheet, it took until the 8th race in the JEGS ET Series for Stowe to finally lose before the 3 round of eliminations. Stowe finished up the season with a quarter-final finish and ended the season with 515 total points, with 2nd place Dustin Eveland only bringing in 344 points.

“This championship means the world to me because I was able to win it with my family by my side! The competition level at Trails is unbelievable and to be able to say I am a champion against all of the great racers is an amazing feeling,” said Jay Stowe with a big smile on his face. “I wouldn’t be where I am without my amazing wife Jennifer, my mother Shirley, my son and crew chief Jimmie, my cousin Doug and our dog Bella. I also want to say a big thanks to my sponsors Stowe Posse Racing, Contender Performance and Wonders Excavating.”

Next year Stowe is going to do his best to repeat as champion and just try to have some fun doing it.

Congrats to Jay Stowe the 2022 JEGS ET Series Pro Champion!
