The annual QFM96 King of Columbus event is coming to National Trail Raceway this week. For the first time in a long time, however it will be under the night skies on a Saturday Night, July 27th. Not only will the racing action be intense for the King of Columbus crown, the night will also have the United Manual Transmission Racers on the grounds with their brand of gear-banging action.
When the dust finally settled in the 2012 QFM96 King of Columbus, it was James Wyatt and Kyle Ehorn that were able to complete the coronation as Outlaw and 10.5 champions respectfully. Wyatt was able to defeat current NHRA Pro Mod Series driver Bill Lutz in the final round of Outlaw, while Ehorn stopped Donald Turner to take the 10.5 crown.
With the addition of the UMTR series and their two classes of competition, the 2013 version of the QFM96 King of Columbus proves to be one of the biggest and best in the years since the first King of Columbus was run here at NTR. And remember, even you can enter your vehicle at the event and Test and Tune your car in between rounds of racing action throughout the night.
